The public acknowledgement made by Parramount on their website is surely a game changer. This is a statement that says that they may have made inaccurate public statements that could have caused damage to a "client". Surely this damage is electoral damage.Logically, any electoral success achieved by the aligned candidates of Parramount could be challenged. To not challenge would open the door for future electoral campaigns to be based on slanderous allegations. Any legal action would again drag the Parramatta club through a wave of negative publicity.I therefore call upon the candidates on this Parramount ticket, if they truly have the best interests of our great club, to withdraw from the election. Come on, show how genuine your belief in our club is!Can I also ask that this be left as a stand alone blog. Their public acknowledgement deserves coverage.www.parramount.com.au

  • Bradley Wardell, anyone?

I can see Bradley is in the house now. Brad?
  • Let's see how genuinely committed to Parramatta they are.
  • Mmmmm interesting.

  • That website is pretty telling.

It raises more questions than it answers about Mark 'Piggy' Riddell's credentials for this job.

It lists him as a "National Sales Manager"...okay, such a position would be easy to verify. Quick LinkedIn search. Ah yes, it shows Piggy has been "National Sales Manager" of a company called MoCribs Australia for 3 months now (wow, so much experience!).

What's MoCribs Australia? A quick Google search brings up zero. Hmm. Odd. If the company has a National Sales Manager surely they'd have some kind of info online. I know, I'll do an ABR/ASIC search...

Wow, that's odd. It returns no trading or business names of MoCrib, MoCribs or MoCribs Australia in existence??

And then Piggy's Twitter shows his involvement in Killer Crank Fishing Lures. Right, let's see if that uncovers something. Go to their website...hmm..it's built in Weebly, a free drag-and-drop website maker that is usually home to lots of scam sites and micro businesses who don't want to spend even a few hundred dollars on a proper website.

Never mind, I wonder if this is the place he's National Sales Manager. But hang on, they only sell through eBay and their website, they don't have any stockists. What would a National Sales Manager do in a business that has 100% automated sales and no stockists? Very odd.

But Piggy is ALSO studying for a Diploma of Business Studies. Busy boy. Good news is, if he puts in the required 6 hours a week, he'll have his Diploma within a year.

Just the credentials we need for someone to be on the board of a multi million dollar club. Someone who is National Sales Manager for a business name that doesn't exist on the tax records (and he only started that job 3 months ago), possibly an ebay only lure company with no need for a sales manager, and he's started to complete (and not finished) a very, very, very rudimentary business 101 diploma.

    Give me strength.

    • No doubt that this was a rushed website. The initial typos were everywhere, the kind that someone quickly typing a blog would make. The biographies on the candidates are of mixed standard. I'm not sure that the site furthers their cause in any way.
    • I did some checking and its appears to be some sort of offshoot from Rollers Aust. They hire road roller equipment.

So he hires equipment, the same as he did at Coates. Thats about it.

  • Don't like your chance of them withdrawing!

But I'd be a bit concerned about a libel suit coming my way if I was the author of those words that were removed.

Actually, probably more than a bit concerned. We'll wait and see.

I'd be keen to hear the back story on the removal of those words directly from one of the Parramount candidates, however I'd expect they're not at liberty to discuss the matter.

    • >however I'd expect they're not at liberty to discuss the matter.

Common sense doesn't appear to be their strong suit. If you're silly enough to dig a hole like that you're probably silly enough to try to "dig your way out" as well.

    • I am hopeful that they will be honourable Nutcracker. I'm putting the challenge to them based on their love for the club. As for the legal aspects, this should be a big concern. If they are successful at the election, I reckon some sort of legal action would be on the offing.
  • Unfortunately, any decent person associated with this ticket will have their name tarnished by the statements made in the website bearing their names. This makes it more imperative for any such person to remove themselves both from this Parramount website and the election.
