I was informed this morning that Penrith Stadium will not receive funding to rebuild the ground.
Pepper Stadium was the main competitor to Parramatta to receive funding for an essential upgrade.
With Western Sydney growing at incredibly quick rate, a stadium with a capacity between 30-40,000 is seen as essential to keep up with the growing demand.
The Eels have passed 20,000 members for the second consecutive year and will have more members than their stadium can hold by the end of the 2015 season.

That's extremely exciting news.
Expect an announcement regarding funding in two weeks.
What? That Wile E. no longer likes Penrith. Not that exciting really.
Not ticketed but overall, we have 22,014 members and official capacity of Pirtek is listed at 21,487
