Parramatta Eels Sign Beau Scott 3 year deal - Official - Eels Blogs

The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have today announced the signing of Beau Scott to the club for the next three seasons.The 30 year-old second-rower, who has played eight games for NSW and three for Australia, will become part of the Blue and Gold side from 2016 after being granted a release by the Newcastle Knights.“Beau is a hard-nosed forward who is well-known as one of the toughest competitors in the game. Equally, he is a quality individual and we look forward to him being a positive influence at our club on and off the field,” Parramatta Eels Chairman Steve Sharp said.“We have a talented but young roster at the Eels, and recruiting players like Beau will add valuable playing experience and leadership to our club.”“Finding the right balance of skill and experience is part of our club’s strategic recruitment direction, and I’m happy to see many of our objectives have been met by players we’ve both recruited and re-signed.”“As an Origin and Australian player, Beau’s talent and experience on the field speaks for itself, and he will be a great leader for our younger players,” Head Coach Brad Arthur said.“I’m looking forward to having Beau join our side for the next three years.”

"Some players need to get sacked from a club and risk losing it all before they really knuckle down and put in the work. Why did he get sacked, was it lack of discipline for footy and training or off field issues?"

In my opinion Scott will be a great signing.
Only have to look at the Knights without Scott's leadership over the last few weeks, compared to their start to the season.

Great signing. For so long we've been signing old blokes who are looking for their final payday. We have now signed two Current NSW and Australian forwards and the best NZ player. Things are definitely on the up!

  You don't think beau Scott is looking to cash in one last time? He'll be 32 next season. We will be lucky to get one representative season out of him.

  I'm sure the money is very good.
  Compare it to Carl Webb. One was an ex rep player well past his best. Scott is a current rep player and last year was a walk up for both NSW and Australia. The Foxsports article says he's 30. He'll turn 32 during next season?
