No, both parties (Reg and Eels) mutually agreed to terminate his contract at the end of 2024. No payouts needed.

Reg could of stayed 1 year with no guarantee that the next offer would still be on the table.
This helps him get the 2 or 3 year deal he wants and we don't pay any of it freeing up all his money
Reg wants a 3 year contract on good money. Eels couldn't offer him that.
I'd suggest Reg has either signed or is about to sign with another club for 25-27. He needed a release from the Eels to do that.
