Parramatta in the market for Angus Crichton

Seems another Back-rower is still on the cards, we've been after him for years. I don't mind it, but i can still see us bring Papali'i back in 2025. Do you all want Angus at the club? I think it could be a good move.

  • Anyone so we can clear Lane and Matterson

    • I feel Matterson is on his last legs. One player i would look at is Thomas Hazleton at Cronulla. They just signed AFB to big coin and have Hamlin-Uele on big coin too. Bring Hazleton in to replace RCG or Paulo. He is on an option for 2025. Throw some decent cash at him and offer him starting spot.

      • He goes good.  Take him in a heartbeat.

      • 👍👍

      • Good suggestion plays with plenty of heart. Wouldn't cost much to bring him. We need speed in the backs though. At the moment all we have is Martyn his not even in Reggies.

  • He will go to union.

On the Papalii thing why would he come back? He's on good coin and a club that's on the improve not like us who are on a steep decline

      • Though BA possibly not being here will Papali'i say no? Was BA the main factor?

If we get say Bennett i think he could get same out of him and he is back with mates at the club.

    • He wanted to come back this year, even tried to get out of his deal for 2023 but too much of a hassle around it. He will get a release easier for 2025 since he has not produced at all cause he is not happy. Now that is not a great sign but he performed for us and is still young enough to play well. Only thing is was is BA that got most out of him? If BA is gone will the new coach get the same as Wests and Warriors? Or is it the boys he is happy with?

Just goes to show how agents and young players dont think before signing.

  • Nah, has struggled last couple years with injuries and mental health issues, would be a bum buy

    • He has been one of the Roosters best this year after coming back through problems.

He is exactly what Parra needs, a forward who can run 30/40 metres and score a try and he is smart enough to follow a ball playing middle. On a dollar for dollar basis he looks more suitable than Lane for example!!

"He has nothing to offer but an adverse attitude. Wouldn't pay the fine that kept him for 3 weeks. At the first opportunity, trips over a blade of grass and hurts his little pinkie, injured for a month. Best gone and let some hungry young players in."
