IN:
Brad Murray, 20, halfback (Sydney Roosters):
An exciting signing for the Eels, Murray was named in the Toyota Cup Team of the Year last season and looks a legitimate chance to nail a spot in the Eels halves given their recent problems in attack.
Carl Webb, 29, prop (North Queensland Cowboys):
Bringing experience and muscle to the Eels forward pack, the former Queensland destroyer brings the added motivation of having not been offered a contract by the Cowboys.
Casey McGuire, 30, hooker (Catalans Dragons - Super League):
McGuire has spent four seasons out of the NRL but he brings the experience of Origin football and a premiership with Brisbane, in 2006. His versatility makes him a value pick-up for the club he debuted with in 1998.
Chris Hicks, 33, wing (Warrington Wolves - Super League):
While in the twilight in his career at 33, Hicks was outstanding in his three seasons with Warrington, tallying 76 tries in 81 games. With 154 NRL tries to his name and the ability to kick goals, his age is the only query.
Chris Walker, 30, centre/wing (Catalans Dragons - Super League):
Walker still has the gas to burn holes but he has also struggled to hold down a starting spot for a number of seasons. The Eels signed the 30-year-old on a cheap contract, meaning he won't be relied upon but he could surprise.
Eni Folau, 18, centre/wing (Easts Tigers - Queensland Cup):
The brother of high-profile AFL recruit Israel Folau is expected to feature mainly in the Toyota Cup this year. Reports suggest he does not have the skills of his older brother but the power is there.
Jordan Atkins, 27, wing (Gold Coast Titans):
Remembered for his stunning four tries on debut for Gold Coast Titans, in 2008, Atkins has since failed to hold down a starting spot. The Eels player exodus makes this contract a huge opportunity for him.
Paki Afu, 20, prop (Canterbury-Bankstown):
A destructive junior footballer who was once dubbed a young Roy Asotasi. Afu's Toyota Cup apprenticeship is now over and he will be looking to throw his huge frame around in the NRL.
Paul Whatuira, 29, centre (Huddersfield Giants - Super League):
The former Test centre and two-time premiership winner will be hoping to fill the void left by Timana Tahu. Whatuira is strong, experienced and still has plenty to offer at age 29.
Reni Maitua, 28, back row (Suspension):
The one-time Kangaroos player has everything to prove after an 18-month ban for doping. Still only 28, the Eels will be hoping the best of the skillful backrower is yet to come.
OUT: Nathan Cayless (Retired), Eric Grothe (Retired), Feleti Mateo (Warriors), Krisnan Inu (Warriors), Kris Keating (Canterbury-Bankstown), Jonathan Wright (Canterbury-Bankstown), Timana Tahu (Released).

look we seems to have a great pack, should have a great season i think,.
I think you may have gotten the two names mixed up.
They're both tremendous talents though in the second-row/lock positions, and in a few years time, if not late this year, or early next, they'll make their mark in the NRL.
They're fantastic up-and-coming players.
Yeah, wasn't sure given the name was written differently.
Great talent Brien is though.
I expect him to push for a spot along with O'Hanlon.
