parramatta eels is changing

We are buying alot of players from all different clubs. Not liking this we are loosing our identity and juniors i have been watching junior football for past 6 years and watched the juniors coming through only to loose them to other clubs Wtf . Enough is enough watmough to old and wicks and fatso . Many of you will say oh but we need to have old heads to bring up the juniors i believe this absolute crap these kids coming through have been playing elite level football since junior system so im not sure were that point come from. PLEASE STOP BUYING HAS BEENS PLEASE

  • We still have a bunch of juniors in our squad and over the last few years we've seen an increase in keeping the right ones to the nyc. They'll get to first grade in time but we've brought in players in positions where for the next 2 years we don't have any elite players pushing through. And if we have signed them they aren't to long term deals.
  • I believe this club has the best juniors without a doubt . The one thing that bugs me and why im a proud parra fan is that all other clubs have little or no local juniors in there team .

Watmough and any other we have brought to parra so far this year dont do anything different that a local junior does . They only thing they are is overpriced and have no passion for parra and just want money . Keep money for juniors. Ive seen it in harold matts and sg ball they play for nothing but the love of the club and there district
    • Watmough is different to any local junior we have. His 278 first grade games would place him behind only Nathan Hindmarsh as the most experienced man to have played at the Eels. He's a Premiership winner, SOO winner and World Cup winner. Something we had in only Jarryd Hayne. You can't manufacture experience. You either wait for it, or you buy it. We've needed experience in the forwards ever since Cayless retired.

All the players we've bought have been bought for their first grade experience. They've all been in the system for a while and they're used to the daily grind. We have talented juniors, yes, but we need to ease them into first grade or we risk burning them out and their form dropping.

    • But i have noticed watmough doesn't win games a believe is a bad mistake for us to sign. He is another Justin poore in my opinion Junior paulo 10 times Better tepai morea
    • Couldn't agree more. The other mans grass is always greener. Our good juniors will eventually make it.

      WITH OTHER CLUBS AS USUAL

  • Why dont we Just give them ago first rather than these rejects.
  • We seen the young forwards get a go this season & I think it is time for the backs to be given an opportunity.

If you look at my line ups I've included Matterson, J Folau & Faraimo in 1st grade for next year. I've also said a number of times I think ZDC will get a go some time during the season. Davis & Goodall won't be too far away either.

    • Kenny i hope we give them first crack at 1st grade
  • Is this blog elite/dribble.com in disguise?

Fekk me, the eels have had the best crop of juniors in their system forever and a day, exactly what has that achieved in the best part of the last 3 decades? fekk all, thats what.

I'ts important to upgrade ur squad by buying/recruiting from outside, it helps with developing culture, experienced, hardened players if identified correctly can bring that and it also helps with keeping players within the existing squad on their toes.

"He got wider in attack, particularly towards Mam side of the field that helped him poke the nose through and make metres. Brisbane were back peddling the whole second half bar one set on our own line where Samrani stayed down and Reynolds went off."

"De Belin looked way better in his 2nd stint. But his sole purpose is defence, in that portion of the game where Brisbane middles tried to wrestle back momentum in the middle he was solid in defence. "
