Parramatta Eels fullback Bevan French could be sidelined for a month

PARRAMATTA fullback Bevan French could be sidelined for up to a month after suffering a posterior cruciate ligament injury.

French has been the Eels’ best attacking weapon this season and his injury makes their bid to secure an early release for Wests Tigers five-eighth Mitchell Moses a huge priority.

Clint Gutherson is likely to move to fullback to replace French with Brad Takairangi an option to move into the halves.

The Eels face Kieran Foran’s New Zealand Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium on Sunday.

They don't make em like they used too. Pricey played with no legs and crawled over glass at Cumberland.

  I really hope he doesn't move Manu. We have two backs on stand by there is no reason to move a forward in to the backs.

It's good we have strong depth....Auv'a Jennings and co. Not the same but it could be worse. Why not Hoffman..?

Since we are no longer training Guth to be our long term 5:8
He should be fullback
1. I would like to see how he goes at fullback - can he back up his one off
2. That is his preferred position and he deserves the reward after being a good sport of being moved around
