From what I saw last Saturday Night against the Broncos I have had enough and need a rant!!
John Folau : I was really excited when I first saw his name listed on the NRL team sheet, I thought that this kid was going to be the next "big thing"...... I personally feel as if he is NOT a NRL winger, he has the size an power but WOW he is slow, always out of position when the ball gets kicked downfield and never runs the ball back hard an strong. I wish that he would realise how much strength an power he has. Don't get me wrong I do feel as if he is more suited to a centre an he played not bad football in the centre position but he doesn't do it for me on the wing. He just looks a little bit lazy for me he never chases the kicks into the ingoal, he just jogs on up as always to say 'ohh it was going to go dead anyway why bother'' For me he is the one that needs to be dropped for Semi when he comes back, Bureta has proved that he is NRL quality, brings the ball back strongly an gets a quick play the ball, put Folau back into wenty for a bit an give him a spell.
Will Hopoate : He has not showed the form what so ever we all saw at Manly, he is WAYYYY to slow to be a fullback he cant catch an offers noting in attack. He isn't doing much better in the centres either!! He doesn't know how to catch an pass let a lone a draw an pass. He has a 2 v 1 on the weekend all he had to do is pass an Bureta would of scored but he kicks it...... WTF was he thinking? He is to slow an almost looks to nice to play rugby league he looks a bit soft and doesn't want to play though an hard. REALLY REALLY NEEDS TO LIFT HIS GAME OR HE CAN GO.
Chris Sandow : He is not the man to take us into next year as a leading halfback!! Parra would be absolutely CRAZY to offer him a new deal!!!! He can't control a team around the back let alone put a second rower through a hole on the edges. Even his own team mates don't even know what he is doing so how the F*** are we expected to play to structure when they don't even know what he is going to do... E.g The banana kick back infield on Sat night, not one eels player knew that was on. Or how about on the last tackle instead on grubbing the ball into the corner an make the Broncos work the ball off the try line he just passes the ball to David Gower... A second rower WTF!!! Yes he can kick a ball but there is not point being able to kick a 40/20 if you cant use it. Parra got tackled 40 times inside the broncos 20 on sat night 40 FRIKEN times an he didn't even really look like being "dangerous" Yes Corey Norman also has a hand to play in that BUT Sandow is just dreadful, Corey is actually getting better with each games he plays an is forming a nice combination with Manu Ma'u. He plays 1 good game once a month, chip kicks 40m when you're down by 14 don't work Chirs, I thought you would of learnt that by the 56th attempt.
Its a Foran & Norman 6-7 combination next year for me
Joseph Paulo : WHAT THE FUCK DOES BA SEE IN THIS GUY? Honestly, he comes on a plays the "link" man... No he comes on a throws stuiped fucking passes that go forward or to the ground or like on Saturday night straight over the sideline an the ball legit hit no one went 10m backwards and went straight over the sideline..... He gets in the way of play an misses tackles he is honestly a waste of space. I wonder if he runs across field at training 15m out of his goal line an throw stuiped passes or if he just does it in a game hmmmm? He doesn't even take the ball to the line when he throws the ball so the defence just slides an we go side ways or he just passes the ball an the man running the line gets smashed off a hospital pass. He is such a waste of space on the bench.
We are lacking a few big strong backs really bad, I would be pushing heaven an earth to get Israle Folau & Tim Simona to the club for 2016!! Folau to play fullback and Simona into the Centres.
I would be letting these guys go this year and freeing up some cap space for 2016 to sign Israle an Tim
Champion - injury prone an have a few backs to cover 100-150k
ZDC - He is to small an he isn't a halfback what so ever, if anyone has watched him play he isn't that good, I have to agree though he is a much better 9 then 7 but we have IDG as a back up. 80k
Kelly - Don't need him at the club and he isn't that special 200k
Lussick - We don't need him with the forwards we have at the club & gives away to many penalties 450k
Morgan - From what everyone is saying he is on WAY to much money & offers nothing let him go an free up some more cash 350k (I'm guessing that)
Joseph Paulo - DREADFUL waste of space just let him go honestly 300k
Pritchard - I feel sorry for Kaysa he has a lot of hype but he is always injured an like ZDC we have IDG 100k
Sandow - He has had 4 years to deliver at the Eels has done not much lets be honest 500k
If we let those 8 players go on that much coin we would have just over 2mil in the cap to spend on players.

Great write Braeden. Something needs to happen and I hope its sooner than later.
There's been a lot of these rants recently - but I enjoyed this one. Your list of players and what you wrote was a bit lacking It's not as simple as 'letting these guys go' - its largely to do with who's off contract and finding a replacement or signing them on less.
Champion - Signed a 1 year contract, as a backup Centre. Only ever intended as short term, while we look for someone better. I'm surprised he was in our starting team this year, though not surprised when he got injured. It was bound to happen eventually - given his past injuries. I would be surprised if another club picks him up...
Lussick - Signed on 'overs' (way too much money) from Manly. Has never lived up to initial potential. Can be a bit hot and cold + a reputation for giving away penalties. He's off contract, after plenty of time to prove himself. Rumors of a move to the Titans, though I guess we'll see. I think Manly could do with taking him back.
Morgan - I don't know when his contract expires, but I don't even want him as backup. Wont pass the ball and seems to lack passion. He's been in the starting team for far too long and needs to move on. It's almost like him and the a few others still have this 'losing mentality' which we need to transcend.
Joseph Paulo - What more needs to be said? Unfortunately he had a contract extension..........
Sandow - I guess we'll see what happens. Could be good watching him with Foran. Off contract, so lets see if he gets an extension
For any 1/2 to play well the forwards need to be doing their job well.
I keep saying - Cronk and Thurston would look very ordinary behind our pack in most games.
