Parramatta need to beat Manly by 11 points to go to 5th place on the ladder (11 points makes it a draw on for and against but I understand it then comes down to which team has the greater "for" points and that's us).
If we go to 5th, we want Melbourne to win their first semi and Easts to lose theirs. If Easts lose, it sends them into the Melboune side of the draw and we don't have to play either team to get into the Grand Final.
If we fail to beat Manly by the required points, we go to 6th on the ladder. We then want Melbourne to lose their first semi and Easts to win theirs, to send Melbourne to the same side of the draw as Easts and again, we don't have to play either team to make it to the Grand Final.
It's not a totally unbeleivable scenario but at least now we know who to root for in the semi's depending upon where we finish and of course, we have to keep winning.
