Apparently the Eels are chasing Bennett as coach starting in either 2010 or 2011 depending if he can get out of his contract with the Dragons.
Bennett wants to test himself at the Eels and cement his position in history as the worlds best coach.
He believes he can do this by emulating what his mentor Jack Gibson did at the Eels.
This is why when asked numerous times to confirm he will be at the Dragons next season, he has been less than convincing.
This is also why the Eels have refused to confirm Kearney as coach for 2010.
