Parra v Wests next year

I think it is going to be between the two western sydney teams next year and if they don't meet in a qualifying final - then I think it will be a parra v wests GF.Tim Sheens was on the radio this morning saying they have signed Lote Tuquiri. They have also signed Tame Toupo from England who some may remember was another wrecking ball winger like Tuiaki and vatuvei. This is now one very big and very impressive backline. In the forwards they have snared Jason Cayless and Liam Fulton is back. With Benji Marshall guiding them around there will have to be something seriously go wrong for Wests not to score a lot of points and win a lot of games next year.Of course you can never count out Melbourne but, on paper, parra and wests have the best squads next year.

  • the Tigers have a good team and will finish about 5th or 6th but they won't make it past the 2nd week of the finals the GF will be Parra vs South Sydney
  • A lot of people are talking up Souths chances next year but I just can't see them being a major threat.

They have some dynamic forwards but lack the quality centres or cool headed halves to be a real danger IMO.

Would be good if they could challenge though.
    • ryhs wesser is back and colin best is due for a big year
  • The tigers have too good a team just to be making up the numbers.
  • they have a good team but no depth. They will finish no higher than 8-10th.
  • They actually have a crapload of depth now.

Anyway nuff said its my prediction and I'll stand to be corrected.
  • I definately think the tigers are due for some semi final action in 2010. Would be good to see them make the finals. But loose to the mighty Eels!
  • I still say tigers will struggle to make the 8, they had one lucky year in them in 2005, other than that, they are underachievers.
  • I couldn't care less if Penrith bought the Pope, so long as a Mr N Cayless is lifting a certain large bronzed trophy above his head come the long weekend in October.
  • Tigers will field a strong team next year. Top 8 certanties!

Souths biggest problem is that they only have one real halfback in their top 20 odd players, and Sandow has yet to find consistancy! I think they'll really miss Wing next year, however, they have the forwards to really help them trundle ahead. Maybe the metre factor alone will be enough to get them points?

Whilst it is frustrating to be losing each week, improvement is clearly visible. I would be interested to see how a full strength team (with Lomax, Simonson and Tuivati all playing), playing with confidence, would fare against the…"
