I couldn't find out much about this so I searched the interwebs and found this
Week 1 Parra (not Wenty???) Vs North Sydney @ Ringrose 08 Feb 7pm? does anyone know if this is confirmed and who is likely to be in our team
Week 2 looks like we're the only club not playing a trial, not sure if this is a good idea, your thoughts
Week 3 24 Feb 5 grades Vs Knights @ Maitland starting at 10.30am, 1st grade likely to be around 7pm. I'm living in Newie these days so will be at that game

Mayor i heard that the Norths trial will be for wenty type players; but i stand corrected and that the Newcastle one is the main one...me too. I am on coast so will try and make that one.
I would have thought the North Sydney game would be for Wenty type players too, but given there is competition for so many 1st grade spots, I'm not sure who would be selected for this game and I thought that team would be announced by now, and it would be given some publicity, I expect everyone like me is hanging out for a game
I only heard that from someone who would know more than I; unless the Norths one is for fringe first graders, as i would assume the Newcastle one would be for the top squad/s and they would all get half a game time. It seems the days of 2/3 full trials are gone; i am not upset the 9's have gone although it was good entertainment.
It does seem they are focusing on heavy skills / combination sessions from the training reports i have read..
I got my grandstand tickets for the maitland trial game. Should be a good day. Hopefully the Eels wear their away strip with blue shorts. I don't want to see that white rubbish.
I was going but if first grade is at 7pm maybe not....thought it would b 3 or 4
James as a matter of interest where did you purchase seats from? Maitland club?
there's 5 games being played, gates open 10.30am.
there was a maitland events website that were selling them, they are sold out now. it's not a very big grandstand.
Ok, thanks for that. Will check other areas...
