  •  Nope - if we end up on 25 we dont make it, because we would of given our points to teams trying to get into the eight, therefore boosting what team number 8 requires to make the semis.

In the equations we are expected to win 4 from 6  putting us on the 30 points, and therefore stopping other teams currently below us from getting any.

Its my understanding that if Brisbane get to 25 therefore taking the 2 points of other teams etc then its possible 25 or 26 gets you in.

If we are on 25 or 26 at the end of the comp then we wont be playing semis.

    Go Parra

    • Spot on Blue Eel.

  • We will get minimum 3 out of 6 and finish 6th

    • i would of taken that at the start of the year lol

  • I've always found once you're relying on other results you're pretty much screwed.

6 games to go and we MUST win 3 of them minimum. Preferably more.

    • I still think we’ll win at least 4, probably 5, maybe even all 6. We win 6 and we’re an outside chance of finishing 4th.

      • Our defence is not good enough to win all 6. I'd be content winning 4/6. We should win a minimum of 3.

I honestly beleive and feel we've been fluking it all season and are dependant on  opposition fuck ups and the individual brilliance of Moses, Guth, Sivo and Fergo that have us in 3rd place. Nathan Brown has been massive for us too since his return. Junior has been quite solid too. We've scored many length of the field tries from broken play and not so many from sustaining constant pressure in the opposition 20.

        • Yes but Parraeel even with defence we had 1) we are still above every team left  to play apart from Manly and 2) only Manly and Knights have beaten us this season but we have home games for return match . I am not counting on 6 wins out of 6 ( 2 or 3 more likely ) but I continue to live the dream Lol .

  • I reckon 2 wins might get you there but we would want to win 3 for a home semi. Pretty sure most here would have taken that at the beginning of the year.

I think our best possible finish is 5th though. Even if we win all our remaining games I don’t think we will finish in top 4. Bit of a shame for me personally as I had a decent go at eels top 4 at beginning of year. I’m left ruing a couple of losses in the middle of the year in particular that cowboys game where we were understrength and that diabolical game against Penrith where the Dew ruined it and both teams should have been declared losers in my opinion.

    • Yes Michael maybe should have af least called that Penrith game a draw and give one point to us might make all the difference making 4th or 5th after round 25 lol.
