Parra are Poorly Coached

Seriously, good completion rate but disgraceful attacking and ordinary defence and giving away really dumb penalties! I am yet to understand Brad Arthur's selection of players particularly the bench and his rotation of the bench. I cannot honestly see the Eels winning a premiership while Brad Arthur is their head coach. They played disgraceful today and to lose the game like that because of a penalty makes you wonder why they have any supporters.

  • It's the games early in the season that upset me the most. The moment you realise it's another year where we won't be anything special.

  • I really don't know how many years Gutho has at fullback. He lacks a lot of acceleration and speed which means whenever he is sweeping out the back on set plays he struggles to get on the outside of the opposing centre. If we have someone like J field or B French, they would burn the centre and either score themselves or set up the winger in a 2v1

    • Yes i'd welcome Bevan French back. I think size wise he's bigger now

    • Yes, yes, yes.

Field is lighting it up for Wigan and Frenchs talent would shine in today's NRL.

    • Yeah good in many ways but lacks speed.

      • Makatoa gives a good play the ball speed. Interestingly as well, we do good short side raids the play after Dylan runs the ball. Dylan always pokes his head through and generates quick play the balls. Its up to Moses, Gutho and Reed to take advantage of the short side play than. I was really disappointed by the number of times Dylan poked his head through and could offload the ball, but Gutho or no one else was there.

  • I can't pin point exactly what it was but they were just awful. Looked like they were playing a trial game.

And worst of all they are back to the old rush up defence out wide. They were very lucky not to concede more points.

Opacic has to go. Absolutely stifles the attack. Defence was OK but really added nothing else.

The forwards looked exhausted at the back end of the game and yet they carry JA on the bench. That will do me.

  • And get who?????
Jasin Taylor??? Or how about some unproven guy that's coached an English super league title????

    and start all over again?????

    • Nobody keep BA and keep failing. Cameron Ricardlo

    • Mate the Easter bunny would be better

Parra should just suck it up, retire Matto on concussion basis, and use that money to welcome back Lomax, on an iron clad contract that makes sure he sees out his remaining 3 years.
Throw him in the backrow and…"
