So I just received the Parra 4 Ever mail-out and let me tell you it looks like they chucked it together in five minutes and copy and pasted information from wikipedia. It contains 7 pages of A4 slabbed writing, that I simply couldn't be bothered reading.
I did read some of the information they had about Parra First and they are grossly mis-informed.
1. They claim that the club never left the hands of the members and that ParraFirst's claims of returning to the club to the members has no basis.
It's pretty clear from that, that they themselves are out of touch with the club. Their main reasoning behind this is that there is a large number of ticketed members who are also Leagues Club members. A quick message to Parra4Ever, as a ticketed member I can't vote on the Leagues Club because I'm not a member. What ParraFirst want to do is make it so that anyone who is a member of any Parramatta entity can vote, be it Leagues Club or Ticketed members.
2. They claim that they don't want to move games away from Parramatta Stadium.
If they didn't want to do that we'd have more than 8 home games at Parramatta next year.
3. They claim they have fundamentals as well as KPI's and metrics for the PDRL and PDJRL. They also claim that ParraFirst are ignorant of these.
According to Phil and Matt, they questioned the Board on this last season to which there was no response.
4. They claim that Phil's open letter to the NRL about Folau was interfering with the club.
Phil's open letter was written to the NRL to help us understand as to why the NRL refused to acknowledge Folau's contract. It was written as very little had been said by the club and it also highlighted some glaring irregularities in Schubert's assessment of Folau. If holding the NRL accountable of a miscarriage of duties is seen as interfering then we have a serious problem.
If you go to the part of the mail-out with each candidates' biography, Eric Grothe Junior's biography comes directly from Wikipedia, with them just omitting he played for Easts and that he followed his father's footsteps.

Just have a look at whom the letter is supposed to have been writen by, it's good for a laugh.

I love how they say that the PDRLFC has nothing to do with the NRL club yet claim that they singed Ricky Stuart and class that as an achievement... hypocrites. If that other ticket wanted to get back in touch with the fans they should set up a profile on here and LU and have people ask them questions, much like Phil, Matt and Peter have done as well as Tony.
It's funny, no where have they listed their aims or their policies. They just bad mouth Parra First. Even on their website, they have nothing saying what they are going to do if elected. That's a really poorly run campaign right there. They're basically saying vote for us because Parra First is bad.
well i have run out of swarm chant sheets to wipe my ass with, so this will do nicely
Holy crap I got that big envelope but didn't open it, thinking that an A4 sized personally addressed envelope with a return address in Fairfield could only mean trouble. How right I was.
Oh goody toilet paper!
One of the bigger jokes of this election is the politicking being carried out by the Parramatta Eels Supporters Club - PESC. As I said in another blog, this is not a good look, I don't believe PESC should be supporting any of the candidates, to do so is a gross conflict of interest.
I spoke to James for nearly an hour a few weeks ago and we traded 3P war stories. I told him that we'd absolutely be pushing for broader club recognition, engagement and support for all of the various Eels supporter outlets and that we absolutely wanted to help him grow the Supporter Club. I know Steve is a huge believer in things like the Supporter Club, so I have no idea why they would say that.
