Out of their depth or out of form?

I read last night that Frankie referred to both Dylan and Mitch as bums; which I thought was harsh and not reflecting of their abilities or potential.

I am sure there are differing opinions out there so my question is - do you think they are out of their depth in this competiton or are they out of form and things are not working as they should at the moment? Not forgetting that Dylan is only 20 years old and played a handful of NRL games; Mitch was getting plenty of accolades from journos and supporters, all raving about the way he was playing this year. Then he got injured and has not been the same player since coming back a few weeks ago. Is he playing injured and is that injury affecting his play?

In my opinion they are both out of form, lacking in confidence and not working well together. Thoughts?

BTW this post has nothing to do with BA and his ability as a coach. I will leave that to the so called experts on this site to debate on another blog.

  • Good question Axel....I reckon Moses is nursing that calf (guess only) but he is off at the moment in attack but been very good defensively - got singled out by big Nelson last night and did a good job.  I reckon Dylan has been Ok tbh, his form in attack looks steady to me, but that's how most of his games look when I watch. His defense has been very solid too, made great one on one tackles last night in our quarter.  Anyway, it's all a matter of opinion.

    • I agree, they've both done a great in defense. The attack on the other hand needs a bit of work.

      • Yep, definitely room for improvement there....I'd take a GF win 2-0 though lol  Fingers crossed hey Axel.

        • you'd have no finger nails left

          • Just like th 1986 GF talk about a tense last 5 minutes

  • Firstly, you made a mistake by listening to Frankie. He's spent his entire time on this site talking down the Eels to the point where he said if the club made the top four in 2017 he'd leave the site. He left, only to return.

Secondly, I think Mitch's issues stem from his calf. The club said they would be managing it all season so that could be something to do with it.

    • Sir Super don't antagonise Fong, he got very cranky about that broken promise...he was quite irate last night when that little episode was raised in a discussion with Fong about credibility.....he's very sensitive at the moment....what do they say about a man's worth and his word? lol

    • I actually like to read what Frankie says. I don't agree with everything he says but he provides different perspectives and that's healthy and often amusing.

Mitch might be nursing the calf injury although not sure how much that's contributing to his loss of form.

    • Ah Super perhaps get your facts right, the bet was if parra would get within 20 points of the storm  in the semi final and it  was made with 4 people, I lost and then a blog was made and it was inundated with members asking for me to stay including the people I made the bet with so I stayed.

      .
