Our wingers

I could go on and on about the sliding defense or lack there off but I won't for now thats more a structural coaching issue.

My problem is our starts to our sets Fergo has long been used as a battering ram to take that 1st or 2nd hit up out of danger but it's starting to take its toll.

Dunster is more of an athletic frame and style he doesn't not have a go but is just to light weight.

Sivo God damn Sivo he only comes to life with a try line in front of him down in our end it's very much hit up for hit up sake no intent or power.

Russell is 1 game into his career but seems the same issue based on body frame.

We need to get this right i look at the squad and I don't see an option people have pushed for waqa to the wing but I don't see his hit up and running style as likely to be effective he needs a bit of space to move  to tuck it under his arm and run into traffic is not his go.

You look at Penrith Brian To'o is as important to the attack as clearly or the other stars the numbers he puts up are outrageous and he just doesn't want to get tackled this is the style of player we need.

imagine if Sivo with his size ran with that intent if sivo can't find that in him then its time to move him on

    • Haha yeah he's been terrible - 3rd fastest player ever to 50 tries.

        • I'm saying like a lot of what's going around at the moment you are talking shit. Sivo isn't rubbish.

  • How good would it be to have Greg Marzhew ( Leleisiuao ) still in the squad, he is killing it for the Titans, he is one that we should have persevered with.

    • Tragic, is he the same bloke ? Was here for 3 years and never got a go. Another great attacking player BA had no idea what to do with.

      • Yes it is the same, he changed his name to his stepfathers surname when he left the Eels.

    • I think he's off contract

      • No he signed a new one

  • Sivo may need to lose a few kgs & watch how the fox elmasri & Johnson play & add that to his game in thr off season

    • He's never going to be a fox. Sivo is just fine it's the other wing spot that is struggling.

  • Sivo is just a finisher. Compare him to Semi, and he's nothing. Semi was devastating at both ends and his start to our sets were amazing.

    We need the following:

    1. Wingers who are physically built and help us progress up the field. Considering fergo will be gone at the end of this season and I'm not enjoying seeing a languishing sivo run up to take a hit-up.

    2. We need a decent back-up half to Moses and Brown. JA just can't cut it! Jordan Rankin won't be played, so we need another option..

    3. We need speed in our backline, our backline other than maybe Waqa blake, has no speed. Granted that's Waqa in open play. I'd like to personally see Gutho moved from FB and moved to the halves. Swap him with Dylan Brown. Dyan Brown has speed, strength, passing, kicking and running game. Plus he's a handy 1 on 1 defender. Surely he has to be considered in future seasons, if he still with us that is?..

    4. Coach and staff have to go. BA has done a great job getting this once great club back into regular finals contentions but that's all he's been able to achieve. His stubborn attitude in being able to identify issues and adapt have caused us lots of problems. Most notably not fixing the Waqa Blake and Blake Ferguson combination for over 1 and a half seasons..

    5. The platform has been set by him, so the potential future coach with some credibility of success should be able to take us further into future finals series.
