Our real strength

I know the club has added some real quality in key positions, but based on pre season, the key difference for me is depth. We've always struggled when we got injuries, but we have so much depth, and quality in that depth, that I can imagine each player will be pushing one another for a place every game.Case in point, wicks and Howie were constants last year- this season they will only get in 17 on back of injuries imo

  • Yes, we do have lot better top 25 squad depth this year and some quality depth with our 2nd tier fringe players as well as 3 talented u20's players coming through the ranks.  On the other side it is not good that Wicks has a shoulder issue, Watmough, Moss, Schulte and Hasson have not been fit enough to play due to ongoing injuries.  I just hope Watmough is held back and not rushed to play.  We also have the pending court case of Paulo so we don't need any more injuries.

  • True, although I am of the opinion we should be looking to shed players, both naturally and pushing others out the door.

Kelly is no longer needed with Cornish as cover, nor will degois be around after this season.

Morgan has been surpassed by others in that "back up" role
    • Kelly and Cornish play on different sides of the field and neither are top 25 players and they are the two best non top 25 halves in the NSW Cup.  Therefore we have the best non top 25 halves in the comp.

Morgan is our best backup centre and has not been surpassed by Folau or Toutai.
