The more I think about this the more worried I am.
Most of our positions are well covered with good backups except centre and fullback. As most know Gordon, in the past, was injury prone along with Taka and Gutherson who were injured throughout this year. Our only decent backups are Schulte and Morgan and then we start really scraping the bottom with the others. Schulte has no NRL experience.
If both Gutherson and Gordon are injured at the same time our only backups for fb are Moss with limited NRL experience and French with no NRL experience.
We really need either a good utility player or specialist centre and need to go hard for one. Roberts is still unsigned as is Walker so I cannot see what is wrong with us going in strongly for either. Now I am not privy in what is going on in the background so am just stating the obvious here. Also if Roberts goes to Broncos and they release Copely we need to go hard for him even though his logical destination is Titans.
If we get nobody I have real fears that injury will again cruel our season.

Please can we give this arrest, if we do ,if we dont. Shit we've still got a far better rosterr than last year. Have faith a let it go
The first goal for any club should be a great general and in Foz I trust.
Hopefully some of the younger players will deliver. We are a lot stronger in all other positions so this may help the development of some good outside backs.
If Gordon gets injured, then a possible replacement is Norman, meaning a need in the halves area, which may be easier to fill, or will it? Depending of course how long a replacement is needed. The logical replacement in the halves would be Kelly, to allow Norman to go the back.
What has to be realised is that there will be injuries, & some may be long term, meaning some untried players will have to step up to the plate. Certainly Injuries to the backs will mean more issues than if they happen in the forwards, but who really are the primary top 25 players anyway?
no mate Cornish is the logical replacement in the halves with Norman to fullback.
Colin give yourself a huge uppercut for mentioning that name that will not be mentioned again!
Yes im surprised we didn't go hard enough for roberts hiku and lafai. Arthur seems remrakably relaxed about this.
Cornish - forgetting about him owing to high regarded reports, much will depend though on what affect he can provide at Wenty.
Report in this mornings subscriber only bit of the teragraph, can't read it so can't comment, other than the broncs deal may not be forthcoming.
ney talks The $300k dilemma facing Roberts
DALLY M centre of the year James Roberts would have to sacrifice $300,000 to chase an NRL premiership under Wayne Bennett at the Broncos.
