Again, if Reg was that big a loss how have other teams baulked at his length demands? All the clubs seem to agree with where we are, he is good but ageing and declining. He wanted 3 years, we wanted his coin to bring in more depth and avoid relying on Ron Massey players again.
In a 5 year stretch you will get more value out of Kaufusi than RCG, since RCG will retire soon and Kaufusi would be starting all those 5 years.
Too many injuries and is hitting 30. We tried Lodge in 2019, that time when we were moving on Mannah and looking for a replacement, but he declined to stay in Brisbane, we gave him a nice deal. We then moved to Welch, then RCG after Welch's injury.
Lodge i would say is not the right choice for us, nothing to do with personality, more so where he is in his footy career.
"It does and we are all guilty of being fickle at times Daz.....I still come back to the club with their D Brown contract and this for me messed up the backflow of players coming through. Talagi made a call i am assume on the better organised club…"
"The critique of Dylbag$ was NEVER that he was not a great 5/8. It was that he kept promising to "step up" to be a 7 if Moses was out but never did. Now Brown is at Knights with 7 on his back and billions of dollars, and the Knights have played…"
"But it seems memories are conveniently short, in all these critiques of club mgmt. Talagi accepted a 3-year offer from Panthers in July 2024. Reports at the time show Eels had offered a multi-year deal and said he was their long-term fullback.…"
"It is about keeping the right ones people mention how poor Talagi is and forget how Moses used to be it's just a continual moveable narrative by fans.Every player is flawed in some manner or another everyone of them.Thats the trick here if you can…"

Kaufusi is not good enough, never got past potential....would not want these type of players back!
Just shows how dumb Cronulla were in paying him big money.
Reg is 31 and past his best.
Oregon still has his best years ahead of him
I like it.
26yrs old. probbaly same rate. I would
Yeah adnan, he ain't going to demand much more than the roughly $400k he is on at Cronulla right now.
That prop at manly who went nuts in new York I think is free . He seems settled now and cheap .lodge
