Now i should preface that by saying one win against a good team is all it takes. A win tomorrow night against Manly-Warringah would be crucial for our blight of form heading into the semis, now i know you wil say "no s*** sherlock" but there would be people saying we need a convincing win, i do not even think we need that. North Queensland next week would be our first what would be considered "will win" games since Canberra, picking up even an ugly win v Manly would allow us some confidence to test and try against North Queensland on our way to the fortnight from hell against Melbourne and Penrith.
I've even come to the conclusion that a 6-10 point loss would be promising too, no acceptable as no loss is acceptable but i would not be as annoyed or angry at that result due to our form, a good display against Manly who took Melbourne to the ropes would be that little bit of confidence to push over the edge for a great win against NQ. Worst case scenario is a hammering and an ugly win or even a loss to NQ.
Arthur in his presser can tell he seemed frustrated and annoyed, even mentioning reports of his future he sounded annoyed also at. It is rightfully so to feel that way, it would be concerning if he didn't feel that way would mean he has no fight. Though i do feel it is pressure succombing him slowly, heres hoping that it isn't to the point where Manly come for a training run tomorrow night. I like Arthur i do, i've had a say on what i think should happen but despite my thoughts on his position i always wish him the best for himself and the team and hope, as he said and i paraphrase one win shuts everyone up, and let's hope that one win is against Manly. If it isn't then we will have more additions to the media show of "The Days Of Our Eels" playing on every sports program, the longer the talk, the more distraction and the more pressure builds. Can everyone handle, if they do than BA is better than majority of us thought, let us hope.

Pictures surfacing of BA have his blue collar players hard at training on the Sunshine Coast. BA wants the players to be the hardest working trainers of any sports
Sounds like he thinks he deserves a lifetime head coach job at Parramatta.
What a fool.

I think the best thing that Brad Arthur can do this close to the end of the season is not place too much emphasis on the teams position on the ladder , so as not to be tempted to overwork key players before the finals begin . He said last year he made that mistake. So if that means more losses and a drop down the top eight then so be it . It should work out fine as long as the Eels stay in the the remaining games as best as could be expected according to the players selected and their respective game minutes .
Driza I'm worried about squad depth, having RCG and Kaufusi out has left a massive hole in the side.
On paper we look like a Bottom 4 side now with Mahoney out too.

Well Scott with those missing players you mention then on paper we POSSIBLY look no better than any other team in the top eight and we are CERTAINLY better than the bottom four contrary to your thoughts . Of course each to our own opinions however bearing in mind those negatives you mention then let's not let a loss this weekend dampen our spirits hey ?
We need much more than a win imo bro, we are cooked for this year.
Just waiting for his next line to be , "If we score more point than the opposition we win. It is that simple."
