I was reading the Gold Coast Bulletin (News Ltd publication who own Broncos incidentally) about Cronulla's struggles to sign James Segeyaro. The final paragraph states 'The Sharks are refusing to pay the transfer fee....... as the overall contract threatens to reach almost $1m because clubs will need to offer him a deal AT MARKET VALUE.

If that is so then how can Broncos pay Korbin Sims the minimum salary of $85k? Even if you add the $90k Knights have already paid him his market value has to surely be greater than $175k.

  • I think the Broncos have back ended his deal, apparently in 2018 he gets paid the difference, well that's what I read
    • Seems that way doesn't it? Love to know how they are able do do it, and do it often
  • Broncos haven't won since 2006. Bit of a dry spell there.
