It was a shocking performance added to a shocking season, however a shining light I saw tonight although it wasn't a tremendous performance, it was a solid effort and we looked better in attack in some sorts once he came on. Reed Mahoney hold your head up son, you are a trier and only 8 games in you'll be stronger physically and mentally ahead of next year.
Though one player doesn't change our fortunes, it's a puzzle piece in the right direction. King tonight showed he is nothing but a stop gap and should not have started over Mahoney tonight. though it wouldn't have change the result one bit I still think it was piss poor coaching, added with shifting Salmon from five-eighth to centre two weeks in a row.

The refs were always going to give the big Queensland pack all the possession early and it was going to be an early massacre. Not a place for a young player, who would also be targeted by the refs.
Also a good idea to try to keep a few players fresh for the end when we were predicted to get the evener up penalties so we would have some non exhausted troops for when we were finally allowed to attack. Although we were not allowed to get too close to the Cowboys line
