It looks that way doesn't it snake with all the talk about Guth and French being our long term FB options, if Hayne is up for the challenge I believe he could become one of the greatest 5/8ths ever.
Snake, your thoughts on this....Corey was playing his best football when his halves partner was playing a structured game or was following the game plan( Foran and Robson) and he suffered when he was partnering crissy, who was a play by the seat of your pants player....now we all know JH plays by the seat of his pants and surely BA knows this too, do you feel or anybody else reading this, that BA will put JH (assuming he comes back) into the 5/8 role....I personally believe if this happens we will be going backwards.

Snake why wouldn't you want Hayne to play at fullback? Is it because there is a void in the halves? Hayne won two dally Ms at fullback and was by far the best player in the comp just before he left. No one talks about it but the best part of his game was his defence. Rock solid under the high ball and faultless in his positional play. If we're to win the comp within the next couple of years I think we need a superstar fullback and that would be Hayne.
I'll leave it to BA. I get the impression he was not overly concerned by his departure, so now he has a say, won't want to mortgage the place to get him back.
"I got excited thinking maybe a Winger, but seems he is a middle forward. We have plenty of them coming through with Talagi, Koina and Popo.
Hopefully he can be an edge where we have Funa-Iuta and Petrus as the only really great prospects in junior…"

Yes but not if its to play FB, its halves or centre or not at all, I'm tipping BA will play him at 6.

I think the reason for this that we would have been MASSIVELY over the cap had he stayed. BA was probably informed about this.
