Surprised that no-one yet, apart from Wil.E. Coyote has mentioned Welches' grubby acts last nite.
At least twice he tackled our players around the ankles in a 3 man tackle and attempted to do a death roll, just like a croc, designed to seriously injure the Knee, with the most blatant one on Papali'i. What amazed me was that he never tried to disguise his act and was open about it, very unlike the Storm way!
And we could have signed this mut.

Definetly Mick, it was so flagrant, as well as dangerous, Coyote said he merely got fined! Joke.
It's all about the coaching.
The Storm way.
The Storm play book is take oppersition players out of the game any way you can. They must train to be grubs.
And they get away with it Coach.
I watched it again. Being grubby in the ruck is 100% part of the Storm DNA. Leg twists like Welch on Papli'i, Kaufusi's head slam on Matterson, laying all over the ruck and rarely getting called for six again. The Storm are a great side but make no mistake, they're still the grubbiest team in the NRL.
So true Muttman, but the NRL in fining Welch, have seen his dirty tactic which means he'll have to be more inventive if he chooses to continue "the death roll" in future games and run the risk of heavy suspension. Then again the Storm are masters in illegal plays!
Sadly you're right Chris, but even after all their sense of entitlement to do anything they have to, to get that win, along with the referee missing all those forward passes, we still WON, and wasn't that a tremendous result!
If you play with Grubs your going to get dirty
Bellamy's tactics but when Bellamy is asked by the media in his post match press conference regarding Kafusi's hit on Matterson Bellamy always replies with " I didn't really see it" or "I'll have to take another look" Seriously, the bloke is a blatant liar! How could he have not seen the hit and the replays showing it.
