Official Statement: Bailey Simonsson out for 2024 Season with ACL

https://www.parraeels.com.au/news/2024/06/04/injury-update-round-14/Bailey Simonsson has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024 season with a knee injury. The outside back has suffered a torn ACL which will require season-ending reconstruction surgery.Ryan Matterson is making good progress from persistent headaches he has suffered from recently. He needs to complete a full week of training, including contact, before he can return to play.

  Shame it wasn't Sivo that's out for the season. Simonsson has been one of a few that puts in 100% every game.
  If Sivo doesn't make double digit hit ups per game, he needs to be dropped.

hopefully blaize can take that spot for the rest of the year and get some good first grade experience

  Agree Frank and MB... he's grown on me a lot... he busts his arse, always hits up, always involved, comes from afar to take one... all the effort things that Sivo is the polar opposite of. He's also quicker than most of our back line slugs... definitely a tough break for him.

  Yep feel for the guy too. He's been good. Couldn't happen at a worse time with his contract renewal.
