  • It's good news for the game, but the question remains as to whether or not Stewart can bounce back from these incidents and focus on his footy.
  • LOL Dan. Amazing what money and status can do for a person.
  • Dunno about it having anything to do with money and status. From a purely outside perspective it looked like the prosecution had a very weak case.
  • A few solicitors i work with that have been following the case all seem to think he had a very very good lawyer. At the end of the day the threshold is very high and there needs to be strong evidence against him to convict him, which i am all for. I cant make a decision as to whether the right decision was made BUT i think him being a footy player of a high status and having the money to get very good legal protection did help him a fair bit. But like i said, im not saying hes guilty, im just saying money helps.
  • I was on the jury of a similar court case. As much as it kills you he must be found guilty
beyond any reasonable doubt. I don't have much faith in the entire system since my experiences.
  • Yeah.. didn't see that coming!

It's amazing what a good solicitor can do.
  • justice has prevailed
  • One thing we will never know is the truth. All we know is his version and her version, and obviously the jury sided with his version. Wether it was because his solicitor dug up as much dirt on her as possible, or because he is actually innocent, we will never know.

But for now it's over and done with, so everyone can just move on..
  • good to hear! walked in to my work on the mid north coast in the off season and was very frendly so its good!
  • Funny how not one RL player has EVER been convicted of these constantly arising charges.
