Off Field Drama affecting players

Surely the way the referee caned the Eels last night the off field dramas have to have some effect at some stage during the game on some of the players mental attitude. By this I am meaning here we are watching the game and thinking everything is going against us wouldn’t the players think the same?

I think that the Cowboys try after the obstruction disallowed try was too easy after the ruling.

  • What I am thinking is how can Foran sue Manly for unpaid TPAs if the manager arranged them and they are not guaranteed by the club.
There needs to be an investigation!
    • Couldn't agree more tooves. There definitely needs to be an investigation but there wont be.

    • A club can guarantee some TPA's last time I checked up to $600k. If it was written into his contract that he would receive this money then he deserves it.

    • they wouldn't have a record of it cause its with Andrew gee...
  • They were definately frustrated last night. But it wasnt by off field issue it was refs decisions.
  • Ham, Manly have stated that they have no record of this agreement and have asked Foran's managers to provide proof. Therefore this requires a full forensic examination of Manly's books and to show there is procedural fairness, a full forensic examination of all clubs books is obviously warranted. Unless of course the NRL call an amnesty for all clubs to come forward and restructure a system that has obviously morphed into something it was not intended to be. Hawke and Keating had the workplace Accord mark 1, mark 2, mark 3....all the way up to double digits if memory serves me correct and we are still on Salary Cap and TPA mark 1. Time for an amnesty for all and lets work out Salary Cap and TPA mark 2. Parramatta should not be penalized for a system that no one understands and has lost all relevance

    • They probably have no record because the club has changed hands since Foran signed his last contract with them. It wouldn't be hard for Paul Sutton to bring out Foran's contract and show what's in there. If a Canadian film critic can get his hands on contracts of manly players I'm sure that the player's agent could get his hands on it.

    • It would appear that under the 'Arm's Length' guidelines, that some are definitely longer than others!!

"I did modern day as 1998 onwards as I didn't see them play, as some here haven't. Where I believe majority of people here have seen all the modern day players play.
Plus it frees up some spots like we all know who 5/8 will be but now no idea."
