After a perfomance like yesterday, it would be hard not to open contract talks with some of the off-contract players.
Alvaro, French, Gower, Gutherson, Hoffman, Jennings, Jennings, Kaufusi, Leleisiuao, Ma'u, Mannah, Mcilwrick, Moeroa, Moses, Niukore, Stone, Takairangi and Terepo are all reported to be off contract next season.
Who would you like to see them keep?
Assuming and hoping Gower will walk into a job with the club post career, I would like to see them extend Terepo, Niukore, Moeroa, Mannah, Kaufusi and Gutherson.
Moses has all the credentials to be a very good player and showed that off yesterday, the concern I have with him is putting back to back performances together. I thought he was very ordinary against the Raiders the week before when taking some horrendous options after the side had done a lot of draining defensive work.
I wouldn't rush into resigning Moses until he proves he can put together a series of good perfomances.
For me:
- Alvaro is too soft to play Front Row and is being carried by Paulo and the wingers
- French is too small unless he can continue his transition into a half
- Hoffman has surprisingly declined since coming onto the scene as a promising young rep player
- G Jennings isn't needed now we have some good wingers
- M Jennings hasn't warranted an extension
- Leleisiuao won't beat any of the wingers to a spot
- Ma'u will find it hard to get back into the side and isn't getting any younger
- Mcilwrick, hopefully we will find a better and younger back up hooker
- Stone is too small to play in the pack and too slow to transition into another position
Takaraingi - Time has come unless he is on minimal money

Well, just as you can’t throw yourself off the nearest roof when we lose, you can’t go madly throwing money around after a game like yesterday. In fact I would say that it is the worst time to reopen negotiations.
Agree Brett, I hope the club doesn't rush in and be pushed around by players in demand.
Should hold off until everything calms down a bit.
They seem very determined to do it at their own pace.
I believe this new stadium will help us retain and attract players. If the players perform and we shake off the stigma of being consistent losers (that will take time). I mean if parra and manly were in the hunt for a particular player how much more would you want to play at Brookie every week as opposed to Bankwest ?
case in point is Gutho - manly want him back but if this happens he goes from driving the latest Mercedes to a Datsun sunny ? How much more would you need to go there ? I mean he must of loved the whole experience yesterday ! Parramatta if we have the right people making the right decisions should be the Manchester United of the NRL or the Dallas cowboys ! Gutho will never experience what he did yesterday at Brookvale - he won’t be going anywhere - he’ll sign for less along with others and the board know it !
This stadium will give us a huge advantage and the next progression is to leverage off sponsors and third party deals once this happens we are back and mixing it with storm and roosters !
Hope your right, hopefully the days of paying gross overs for players is gone.
Would be nice to see the conveyor of young talent keep rolling through just like the Brian Smith days.
I never once said to rush into re-signing anyone, the club should wait until the hype has settled won a bit.
Did you see the post match interview by Andy Raymond with Gutho while they were still on the ground and the fans going berserk, he asked him something along the lines of "how can you leave this"
Shane McElduff has already conceded that the decision regarding BA may be brought forward a bit, especially if we keep winning, which is probably prudent. But remember, they did say Round 13 and we're nearly halfway there.
After one game you've made up your mind about stone ? , or was it half a game , if that ?
Been watching him play for Wenty, he's too small to be playing 1st Grade in the pack.
Can't question his motivation or effort but the mechanics to football has always been about having a strong forward pack.
The only way I could see him remain here was if he was to convert into a hooker, I don't think his passing is good enough for that.
Would love to be proven wrong though !
