Living in Melbourne gives me one (sometimes none) chance to see my beloved eels each season. I was fortunate enough to be there for saturdays epic win and as an added bonus my 7yo little boy came for his first ever nrl game and as you can imagine was in a daze for the rest of the weekend!
Two things that struck me two rows from the fence:
1. Ray Stone hits harder than any player in our squad - and he does it EVERY single tackle he makes. Seriously underrated forward who I'm gutted we're losing.
2. Nelson Asofa-Solomona is without question the biggest thug in the game. Being that close to the action also put me within earshot of his constant mouthing off the whole time he's on the park, which prob goes unnoticed unless you're that close.
They reckon Gary Freeman was a lippy twat even his own teammates use to tell to shut up back in the 80's, surely the Storm culture wouldn't think too highly of dopey Nelson's antics.
go Eels! Up yours Nelson!
