Hi All,
In hindsight I should have done an introductory style post, sorry about that. I am not good at following tradition, so instead of the usual style one I will do a little spiel about how I became a fan of the Eels.
I started follow the Eels because my dad did. Simple as that. But that did not make me a fan. I can remember my dad assigning us kids fake ages to save money on tickets on game day. Getting us to practice these fake ages on the way to the ground so we could answer with confidence if asked. He’d then buy the cheapest tickets available on the day. Once inside the ground on our cheap fake kids tickets, one of us would scout the ground for some more expensive unoccupied seats and report back to the old man. We would then sneak over one at a time to the good seats to avoid being spotted by the guards. I can remember one time getting boosted over the stand dividers by my dad and almost getting caught. Good times. But I don’t think that made me a fan either.
As I got older I started to focus more on the game then the hot chips and avoiding being kicked out by the guards. At some stage I can’t quite pin point I started to care about the team, whether they won or lost. Care quite allot actually.Anyway I think that care is what made me an Eels fan.
Jimmy
Ps thanks to poppa for the encouragement.

Lol.... fake ages. How old were you when sneaking in on a kids ticket... 25? haha
I think I got into the gee gees as an U18 at about 25...
I don't think they let you into the Bee Gees if your U18, think you need to be in Poppa and Drop Bear's territory. I used to constantly get asked for ID when I was putting my bets on so I felt it only fair that my youthful good looks allow me to avoid the entrance fee as well
LOL place your bets and then get into the game as a child. The best of both worlds!
