I did not listen to most of the game tonight . But have listened to a lot of past games played in NZ. I found NZ callers lean towards their own however they also do get excited when non NZ players of note have the ball in their hands or make a good tackle . Overall IMO they are better more balanced callers than most of the fox commentators ( those who like the sound of their own voices ) .
I read your comment before I watched the game so I paid particular attention to the commentary team. I did miss about 12 minutes between the 60th and 72nd minutes but I didn't hear any significant bias on their part in the other 68 minutes. Even when Hodgson was awarded a try after receiving a pass from a team-mate who looked to be well and truly tackled, no call of held by the ref, they accepted it without any argument.
