Also worth mentioning that Josh Aloiai is on the sidelines with an injury.
Is there a reason Tanginoa seems to have shifted into the middle of the park? Is that where the club see's him long term? I thought he did great last year out wide both in attack and defensively before he got injured.
And can the bloggers who watch NYC week by week comment on his form? As he dropped off to a degree?
He understandably only got to play first grade last year because of how terrible our squad really was but I thought he handled himself well and it's strange to see other under 20's players like Matterson/Goodall/Folau/Pritchard tested in NSW Cup but Tanginoa not.
He's been awesome since he's started to play in the middle, it reminds you of a young Fui Fui Moi Moi. He's built low to the ground, and is very quick for a man his size. Every single run he hits the line hard and rattles a few players. I think the club is playing him in the middle so we have the option of playing him in the middle or out wide in first grade. I think he'll end up in first grade as a middle forward.
At least we don't have a miniature bench this time.
Good to see Li get another run. Hopefully he makes the most of it. Very good to have Makelim back. Need a proper fullback and he provides just that.
Side looks the goods - hopefully the good form continues.
It's great that we're not going with another utility off the bench but I'm still not sold on Jack Anderson. He's only played 1 game but imo he only had 1 good hit-up and he isn't big enough or explosive to come off the bench. I'd definitely like us to see go with a bigger player, possibly a Paea Pua, Paul Tuigilama, or Paula Kaufusi. This would mean we have two big boppers along with TTS off the bench. Raeli can come on for Markus and then Muna can go back to playing out wide.
Few questions and comments about the Guildford Owls RM and Sydney Shield teams. Leva Li is named at centre for the RM cup side, so I'm assuming the NYC team get preference over a player? Is Shane Hunt any relation to Justin Hunt? Lachlan Roe, is he injured, suspended or been granted release from the club (My Brussell Sprouts is probably the one to answer this question)? Also, look at the size of the bench for the Owls in the RM cup? I'd say that would be bigger than most NYC and NRL benches.

Good to see young Alex Twal start his progression towards starting in the NYC next year. This kid is 17 and for him to even make the Sydney Shield side only a few weeks after the SG Ball team finishing is awesome and we may even see him in the NYC this year.

Yes, thought much the same last week, Ham.
His lack of size surprised me and really, we probably need one more big bopper on the bench.
Surprised Paula Kaufusi hasn't had a crack just yet, given how explosive he is as a young player and how many wraps there are on him.
Eager to see him play at some point in NYC.
