Another year of frustration and disappointment, once again the lads have come so close yet so far away we were 1inch away (jennings try)
NSW just don't have the "click" QLD do, Yes this does come down to spending time with each other and having many years to work on combinations, BUT it bloody helps if you can pick the right team to start with.
IMO Laurie Daley is sack, he is gone... he's jagged 1 series win in 4 years when Cronk broke his arm and that's about all he had done for NSW.
He picks some DREADFUL players, They can't score tries, they have been in camp for 20 days now all up and i haven't even seen Jenko on the end of a backline play hitting a hole in space. Like C'mon Daley if you cant get the boys to do a backline play for fuck sake bring in Joey & Freddy.....
It's not the players fault they get selected but serious D Walker.... That is beyond a joke, Kicks the ball for 7 tackles then gives away 3 penalties back to back to back QLD go down field and then take the 2 just as NSW were getting on top at that stage the game the score is 4-2 NSW way.
How James Roberts isn't in the team is beyond me, the quickest player in the NRL playing at the bronx in a winning culture NSW could use him SO effetely in the games its unbelievable.
Clean out
Greg Bird has got to go, why bring him off the bench he's not a "impact" player bring in the youth
James Tamou, hasn't run hard in either game its like he scared to put a hit on Scott or something
Michael Jennings, Always cuts back inside when all he has to do is draw the winger, He lost 2 tries and let 1 in off a terrible D read.
Robbie Farrah, yes he played well last night but he always tries to "milk" a penalty instead of keeping the momentum going when we are on top it cost up every time.
Josh Mansour, serious what has he done in the past two games? let alone all year at the panthers? How he makes the NSW team I have no idea.
Dylan Walker, he not a Origin centre let a lone a fcuking utility player..... no more is needed here
Matty Moylan, probably unlucky to miss out for mine BUT we need points and Teddy does that.
To beat QLD this is what we need
1 Teddy (can score out of nothing, quick & can ball play)
2 Roberts (FAST, Could do so many different scrum plays to get him 1-1)
3 Dugan (He would of been here if not injured, Big and strong)
4 J Morris (IMO he deserves his spot, big & Strong and awesome D)
5 Ferguson (Big body, runs the ball back hard and can score a try)
6 Maloney (Played well so far this series deserves his spot)
7 Reynolds (Showed he can handle the "Origin arena", deserves to keep his spot)
8 Woods (Work rate, good offload)
9 Peats (Next inline, TOUGH, can create out of dummy half)
10 Fifita (runs hard, has an offload deserves a start)
11 Cordner (Runs perfect lines and goes all day)
12 Frizell (He's a machine, tough, skilful)
13 Jackson (Works his ass off in D, runs hard every carry)
Bench
14 J Bird (Perfect utility, can play every position)
15 Klemmer (Runs hard, doesn't take a backwards step)
16 Graham (classy back-rower, good kicking game, runs well off maloney)
17 Cartwright (skilful, great offload, classy, can play anywhere in the forwards)
18th Junior Paulo (He runs hard, hits hard, big body)
Coach, Geoff Toovey
For me that is the team that can beat QLD... Has the perfect balance across all 17 players

Don't believe he's "smart enough" mate give him the ball 1-1 and he scores.... Imagine his scoots out of dummy half late in the first half around the ruck, 1-1 off a set scrum plays he scores, he can chase in D and will run down anyone, he would of got Gagai EASY last night.
Mate Dane Gagai is at the knight coming last, and he scores 3 tries. James is at the bronx in a winning culture he will would score the same in a blues Jersey.
I said it before... Forget playing QLD..... Let's play Tasmania!!!
Mate i think Joey has a lot to learn before he comes into a origin outfit yes he can offload a ball but he does a lot of silly stuff and his D is shocking.
Jmoz deserves his spot, fast, big body, tough, can score, sets up his outside man, can tackle.
I was a bit undecided on the props mate QLD ran with 1 prop on the bench in Lillyman, we could put Tyson back to the bench and play a "middle role" like Papali and start Graham
Reynolds is not likely to play reports suggest he's gone for the season. Put Maloney to 7 & bring Cartwright in at 6.
Would want to see Fifita do a lot between now & the next SOO, he made me want to puke with his lack of? well there was enough of them, likewise with Klemmer, realistically what did he do in his time, pretty well contained for mine. Gallen, out but at least he goes the full time he's on the field, Need Cordner but would have Jackson in as 12 with Frizel at 13 with a roving licence.
In many ways I am at a loss who else to put in. But one thing is that the players that are needed are ones that show some variation in play, I was stocked with the debut of Frizel, & Bird both showed variety & that is the big issue for me, New coach for the blues but the players are the same & they all play the same, meaning the toads know their play off by heart & can read every play, as there is actually nothing new from the existing team.
Carty is not a 6 at all, he is a backrower!
