Canberra five-eighth Terry Campese heads a list of 23-players named by NSW coach Ricky Stuart for an Emerging Blues camp next week.
Campese, who made his sole State of Origin appearance in 2009, managed just one half of football last year before re-injuring the knee which ended his 2010 campaign.
The 27-year-old will be joined in the camp by Raiders team-mates Jarrod Croker, Blake Ferguson, Josh McCrone and Joel Thompson.
The camp gets underway next Friday at Coogee with Blues legends Glenn Lazarus and Steve Roach taking the players through a weekend of skills sessions, lectures and team-building activities.
Emerging NSW Blues squad: Terry Campese, Jarrod Croker, Blake Ferguson, Josh McCrone, Joel Thompson, Andrew Fifita, Luke Douglas, Ryan James, Darcy Lussick, Tony Williams, Ryan Hinchcliffe, Tariq Sims, Lachlan Coote, Michael Gordon, Tim Grant, Dan Hunt, Trent Merrin, Kyle Stanley, Joseph Leilua, James Maloney, Blake Ayshford, Tim Moltzen, Aaron Woods.
The question has to be asked whether or not we just don't have the Future Origin Talent or whether some of our junior players are simply being over looked or that our junior players are yet to showcase all of their skills in the NRL. Guys like Jarryd and Mannah are already NSW incumbents, Hindmarsh is still available but no longer selected as well as Tonga being a QLDer and Sandow in the development Squad; we have a few Origin players. Hopefully we will have some more Origin players in the near future.

half these blokes havnt done anything yet.
i only rate malony,
campese, gordon, only played a hand full of games last year with serious injury
queensland would put 100 on us with these blokes
Personally i don't care if none of our players get selected at all. As much as i'd love to see NSW win, i'd much rather have our players playing for Parra =p.
We dont have them in the emerging squad.. we have them in the actual squad ;)
I'd say T Mannah has a good chance of being in the actual squad. Who knows if Stuart will select Hayne.
Mitch Allgood - NSW or QLD? I'd have him in above Woods/Grant/James
Is it possible to become overly erect?
Isn't it always crucial?
Maybe we should open this question to the floor. New blog: How crucial is it to be erect?
What does it mean to be in the squad anyway? Imagine if someone like Ken Sio (not even sure he's from NSW) is absolutely killing it in the first 7 weeks of the season and the 'preferred' wingers are injured. You'd think form would rank higher than being recognised as an emerging player.
Could also mean that these 23 know how to lose a lot.
