so the leaked team was right aside from forwards order and Merrin in instead of T-rex.
Okay, I'm going to try and be positive about this.
Playing Dugan at centre is a risk of epic proportions. It's not yet a mistake.
As much as we bag Dugan, he does have ability in attack, and in a way, it shows a positive approach. We're not, as we have done recently, simply trying to 'contain' Queensland. We're going to take it to them, and we're going to beat them. Hopefully.
I'm glad we have Merrin over Williams, and I don't think Will will let us down.
The problem is though he doesn't have that attack-defence balance like Morris and Hopoate. They're very good attackers but are also more than capable defenders. I am highly concerned that Queensland will tear Dugan a new one down that side given it's Thurston's side of the field and he threw heaps at them in Game 1. NSW must not give QLD cheap field position because points will inevitably occur down that side. When Dugan played centre against Souths, Joel Reddy crossed for a double and Sam Burgess ran over him. Souths scored three of their five tries down his side.
Does anyone really think Dugan will play centre? I'm sure he will be on the wing!
Knowing it's Daley I think everyone is in doubt over whether he will take the obvious choice and play Dugan at wing. Dugan does seem to be his love child.
Yeh I have been wondering that myself. It just makes more sense in attack and defence to have Hoppa centre and Dugan on wing. I actually think it would be a positive selection. But the way they been announced is a worry if that's how they run out
Centre and full back fg = ?
