  • Close game in the RMC. Wests lead by 4 points with 11min to play. Halauafu Lavaka having a good game on the left wing.

    • From memory that is the first time.

  • Score is 24-20, sorry.

  • Corey Makelim with the money ball down the right edge to Jake Butler-Fleming who steps off his right to beat the sliding defence and score after taking the ball all the way back to the posts.

    Conversion is good.

    Wenty hit the lead 26-24

  • How did Matterson go? I'm really interested in your thoughts on how Beau Henry performs today.
    • Matterson played well but it was hard to gauge just what position he was playing - popped up all over the park.

  • Good line break from Nick Kassis but he slips as he comes to the fullback. Time off is blown on the next tackle when Dean Parata, who is back at Wenty, comes out of a tackle gingerly and is eventually helped off by the trainer.

  • Sharp run and quick play-the-ball gives Wenty plenty of time down their left and it sees Lavaka complete a hat trick for the day as well as close out the game.

Good comeback for our boys in the grade.

    Full Time

    Wenty 32 DEF Wests 24

  • Wenty to receive and run towards the club hosue in the first half.

Goodall fields the ball and uses Lussick to get the game underway. Alvaro follows with Moeroa up next.

Beau Henry puts in an early kick but the Tigers are well positioned for it with their fullback trapping it after one bounce.

  • First penalty of the game for the Tigers after a charge down attempt goes awry. Beau Henry was the culprit and he takes a minute to get up as well.

    Tigers on the attack.

It took some desperate cover defence to hold them out as well. They looked over for all money on our left edge but they repelled some crazy second phase ball.

A nifty kick from the Tigers then traps Quinlan in goals though so the pressure mounts.

A huge gust picks up behind Wenty as we hoof it out and I kid you not, the ball goes from try line to try line!

"Some players need to get sacked from a club and risk losing it all before they really knuckle down and put in the work.  Why did he get sacked, was it lack of discipline for footy and training or off field issues?"
