NSW Cup: Rd.4 vs Illawarra Cutters

Another gorgeous day out at Ringrose Park. Temperature is sitting in the mid-high 20s with a few clouds dotted across the sky. Today Wenty will host the Illawarra Cutters as the Magpies look to open their account in 2015 after an exceedingly scratchy start to their campaign.

There has been mixed news for the game day roster prior to its finalisation today. Peni Terepo played on Friday night and will need to be replaced while Henry Rawalui has dropped down to the Ron Massey Cup hinting at a possible return from injury by Adam Quinlan.

The news itself has been broken elsewhere but coach Brett Cook also confirmed today that Richie Fa'aoso will make his long awaited return to competitive Rugby League next week after several false starts this year.

In the Ron Massey Cup, Wenty are currently leading Kingsgrove 18-0 with 33min gone in the first half. And as I type that out Wenty nearly go length of the field and score a converted try. Great footy as they extend the lead to 24-0.

As always, stay tuned for the final team list as well as kickoff at 3:00PM!

  • come on wenty put some pride in your self and win today

  • Apologies for the delays today, ladies and gents. Between the Sydney Shield and Ron Massey Cup we are looking at running a good ~20min over time today.

  • Fiery conclusion to the RMC with fists flying from both teams. Four players, two from each team, are binned and Wenty score a final try in the reduced format to finish the game 52-4 victors.

  • John Folau in attendance today.

    Changes for Wenty:

    Ben Crooks @ Fullback
    Justin Butler-Fleming @ Centre
    Lasalo @ Starting Prop
    Tui Kamikamica on the bench
One more change in a #24 but I missed him. :/
