NSW Cup: Rd.14 vs Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

Good Afternoon folks!

A miserable morning has given way to a surprisingly pleasant afternoon for today's NSW Cup fixture as Wenty travel to Belmore to take on the Bulldogs.

The Magpies were last start winners but will be looking for a much improved effort this week as they strive to stay on top of the table.

Both teams are out warming up and there looks to be a number of changes for Wenty. #20 (Pat Mataele), #23 and #24 are all taking part in the warm up.

Fabian Goodall, Tepai Moeroa and Luke Kelly look to be the individuals that are missing from the named team but stay tuned for the official game day line up.

  • It could mean Kelly is going to play in the halves with Norman dropping back to fullback?

As I said previously Sio is carrying a shoulder injury and is in doubt.
    • But why no Fabian Goodall today?

    • Hahaha, Pat on the wing? Oh my, this could be interesting to witness.

Still no clue why Matto is in the #23, maybe Lasalo has something to do with it...

    • That is a strong Eels forward pack for this grade.

  • #23 looks to be Matterson, which is a smidgen confusing as he is already named in the #6 (which is absent in the warm up).

  • I hope Foran doesn't try to overplay his hand again this week. He dominated possession between the two halves last week but didn't do a great deal with it.

  • Heard he was going to be going back to 20's with Tepai

    • I don't think it is a knock on his skill. Fabian has played very well in this grade this year but odds are the 20s need him more.

  • Wenty will be kicking off today.

"I think the disappointing part for Pensini was the poor defence last week against Melbourne. Yes everyone was shit. But he missed a one on one tackle for Leo to score. He also got burned in the frist half by Leo but Iongi saved the day."
