JARRYD Hayne will reportedly be grilled by the NRL over the fact Gold Coast had no idea about rape allegations stemming from his time in America.

The Titans were only made aware of the 2016 criminal case against Hayne when the story resurfaced this week as a result of a civil suit being filed in the US.

The original case was filed with the Santa Clara County Court in May 2016, six months after the alleged incident happened.

Hayne was playing in the NFL with San Francisco at the time of the alleged assault, but left the 49ers in the same month the victim made the complaint to authorities.

By the time the District Attorney’s office in the US dismissed the case on October 25, 2016, Hayne had signed with Gold Coast and played six games for the Titans.

The NRL’s Integrity Unit will question why Hayne did not inform the NRL or the Titans about the ongoing case, according to Fairfax Media.

Hayne’s new club Parramatta also only found out about the case when the story appeared in the media this week. So did the NRL.

Lawyers acting for Hayne released a statement this week categorically denying the assault allegations.

The criminal case was dismissed due to a lack of evidence to proceed.

But the alleged victim — called Ms V in documents filed — has lodged a civil suit against Hayne for the same incident.

The cross-code star is on a religious holiday in Israel, but the NRL will reportedly ask to sit down with Hayne when he returns to Australia.

  • One things for sure about Jarryd, hes very honest...

    • My thoughts exactly, Snake.

    • He’s wasn’t dishonest, he just didn’t say anything

  • My thoughts exactly, Fong! The NRL are absolutely stupid if they think Hayne had to say anything. They’re treating Hayne like a 6 year old kid who didn’t eat all his dinner.

    • The two worst things a player has done is 1 Greg Bird glassing his girlfriend and 2 Russel Packer knocking a much smaller man out and then stomping on his head while he lay unconscious on the ground yet the NRL welcomed these grubs with open arms .

The NRL ruined Brett Stewart when he was innocent all a long .

The NRL crucified Mitchell Pearce all because he was drunk and did what a lot of young people do his age when they are pissed which was make a dick of himself , Mitchell has never broken the law in all the things he has done .

The NRL wont let Todd Carney play but welcomed back two grubs like Packer and Bird and now they are going to hassle Hayne over something that is his business and his business only .

  • 100% correct Fongy. it really pisses me off the identity of the accuser is protected, at the same time accused has their name put up the in lights for the world to judge them. Maybe the last guy that took this tramp home for a pissed one nighter would come forward an expose this gold digger for what she is if we new who she was.

  • Let me get this straight:

Whilst not working for the NRL or the Titans, Jarryd Hayne was not charge with any crime. When he started with the Titans there was no ongoing case or investigation.

Precisely what was he mean’t to have said?

The NRL are really over stepping here.

    • People forget that Jarryd is only going through this crap because of the joke that is American law . In any other country including Australia once police say you have no case to answer it means case closed .

"True Macy, I'm with you. The only thing i can see is that he is young   only 20 years old and may have a big upside as he progresses. Rylie Smith 23 years old plays out of his skin. Love his work rate."
