NRL's Serial Cuddler

Parramatta forward Kenny Edwards has been devastating for the Eels this season, but it's not his form that has people talking. The NRL hard man is making a habit of celebrating his team's tries with the opposition. Edwards' bizarre post try tactics first came to light in his side's round two win against the North Queensland Cowboys.Scroll down for video NRL hard man Kenny Edwards is making a habit of celebrating his team's tries with the opposition, here he is celebrating with Cowboys captain Jonathon ThurstonPlayBrian Fletcher, a panelist on the Matty Johns show, drew attention to Edwards' unusual tactics.Eels team mate Brad Takairangi had just crossed the try line when Edwards grabbed Cowboys Skipper Jonathon Thurston and started to cuddle him and jump up and down, much to the star half's dismay. The next of Edwards cuddle buddies was Will Hopoate in the Eels round three victory over the Bulldogs.+8Kenny Edwards has been devastating for the Eels this season but his post try celebrating has people talking+8NRL hard man Kenny Edwards is making a habit of celebrating his teams tries with the opposition, here he is celebrating with Cowboys captain Jonathon Thurston+8Thurston doesn't seem to enjoys Edwards affection and is seen trying to escape from the big mans graspHopoate again seemed to not enjoy the friendly embrace, and tried to shrug out of the big man's clutches. In both instances you could be forgiven for thinking that Edwards just got caught up in the heat of the moment and in trying to grab a team mate grabbed an opposition player by mistake. But putting both events together, it makes a compelling case for Edwards becoming the NRL's first serial cuddler.

  • As amusing as it is, if the Eels start losing games Kenny might find himself getting a taste of his own medicine. I'm pretty sure opposition forward packs are taking note too. And that's a very fast track to prematurely ending your NRL career.

    • He may well cop it back but I hardly think it will be career ending.

    • Wtf are you on about? Prematurely end his career? It will be a fast track onto one of the footy shows as comic relief.
  • LOL. This is hilarious. This guy is fast becoming another Eels cult hero, and he's got game to back it up. One of my favorites
  • Lets hope The Kenny Cuddle is here to stay. It's awesome :)

It'll become like the Konrad Hurrell post try kiss - blow!

  • Glad the media has given this a bit of a plug. Kenny is a gun player, but the 'Kenny Cuddle' is just awesome...

  • It's absolutely priceless to see and watch!
Here's hoping this a regular thing! It's harmless demoralising stuff to do to the opposition. Keep it up Kenny. Would love to see a big long highlight reel of this by the end of the year!
