To those that are interested in watching it, at 5:20, Fox Sports 1 will be showing a blast from the past with the Eels v Sea Eagles clash in Rd 10 from 2003, as part of their NRL rivalries series.
Guess it'll help us get back into footy mode, and we'll recognise some old faces at the same time :)

Haha, I probably could Slip as I have the DVD's of the Grand Final wins, and the the years 81,82,83 & 86.
Shame I wasn't alive at the time though to see the wins in the flesh.
Lucky man you are then Slip.
I can only imagine the euphoria that would have been associated with those wins for Eels fans.
Hopefully, the time arises when I can see one in my life-time, and hopefully soon at that :D
It was a brilliant time to be a Parra fan, they were invincible '81-'83 and in 1984 I was in shock and couldn't believe they lost. But sweet revenge in '86.
Not sure when Parra will win another premiership though. It's been too long.
Manly beat Parra ('82 & '83) in both finals games in which the winner goes through to the Grand Final. In 1982 Manly won 20-0, but the Grand Finals were one sided going to the Eels. hahah My favorite game is 1982, halftime score 16-3 (tries 3 points). Manly scored first, but the Parra machine hit top gear.
"Raiders are in a different universe to us. So for a win, the raiders need to not turn up and we need do. Slim chance at best....

"Well iam not sure month ago we were getting beaten but up there for 70minutes. With a few errors
The last 2 games Eels have been ordinary, high error rate, missed tackle, effective tackles. Back to both wingers rushing in. It will be great when MM…"
"I have given this post of mine a rethink regarding Q1. Many are desperate to avoid the spoon as it will make it difficult to regain confidence for next year..Maybe a goal for confidence building for next year, and rebuilding goal setting around how…"
"Like media stated Brown took it well, I am not sure how you would without putting on a brave face. Maybe he did at first but as you say being replaced as Hooker and riding the bench for 45+ mins would be humbling."

So many stars in those sides too that will forever be remembered.
Hopefully, it comes soon.
Absolute gem of a team the 80's Eels side was.
