NRL Reject Brett Stewart career ending injury retirement claim

Claim rejected. Reason: believed to be a result of years of knee injury/damage. Will count under their salary cap."It is the same submission put forward last year by their former premiership-winning teammate Anthony Watmough, who collided with Beau Scott during a Parramatta Eels pre-season training session leading into the 2016 campaign. The NRL accepted Watmough's submission, however it is still held up by the insurer - delaying the pay-out for the former international and Origin forward."http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/nrl-reject-manly-sea-eagles-submission-for-brett-stewarts-retirement-20170210-guaebq.html

  • They have the backside saying that injuries that accumulate over time is considered a career ending injury. Whilst, when we did the same things, their fans attacked us and made out to be trying to rip Choc of his money. It's simple, they did the exact same thing.

  • Booom lmfao @ the Silvertails lol.
  • More like they were forced into retirement over match fixing allegations .
    • I'm of the same opinion
    • It is pretty fishy that Foran, Watmough, Matai and Stewart are all unable to play. All 4 have been connected directly or indirectly to match fixing allegations.

Lucky for us Wotty - wott didn't go out under any clouds of suspicion - AY Wiz? lol

  • Manly couldn't even have a presser to send these so called legends off into the sunset. Both backended deals and the private owners I hear are very tight with there money now after a very bad season last year and Cherry flopping. Enjoy silver tails
    • With the exception of Guth, there hasn't been a good signing for us from the silver tails for years. I don't even remember one that's been good value.Look what they've cost us in every sense of the word.
Don't believe it's ever a good idea to sign players that have been firmly entrenched in another since their junior years and have no qualms selling their souls for the moola, no matter which way they like to paint it.
