NRL Incompetence or plain bias

Can anyone explain why this tackle from Sam Thaiday copped 2 weeks

Why shouldn't NRL officials have their integrity questioned when this sort of crap goes on. Thaiday's tackle on Gallen was worse than Paulo's end of story. Some people ridicule fans when they cry conspiracy, but these sorts of decisions only add fuel to that fire. The game has lost the plot and these inconsistencies happen from week to week with all their officials. The Match Review committee headed by Michael Buettner has been appalling in 2015 and 2016. Why does he still have a job. The Todd Carney's and Mitchell Pierce's of the NRL do dumb things and get punished severly for it, and rightly so. The NRL officials have the integrity of the game to uphold and should be held to a higher standard. I won't even start on Tony Archer, the less said about that moron the better. The NRL needs some new blood in these positions and fast.

I think they are both worth 2 weeks. I remember seeing Paulos tackle live and thinking it was just a good strong tackle. I guess though there was an element of recklessness about it though so fine give him 2 weeks but 9 weeks was crazy. Anyway if he does it for the raiders give him 2 seasons!

I think there is a big difference between a one on one tackle where the centre of gravity tips and a 3 man tackle where one bloke puts his hands between the legs and lifts. The latter is more dangerous and more prevalent in the game. However the referees need to call held earlier in standing tackles imo

I'd like someone to answer this. It's disgraceful. To be honest not having Junior may have cost a few wins. Who knows.
Thaidays was disgraceful- minimum should have been grade 4. As Kent and Ikin said last night, what constitute a grade 4/5...?
Terrible and you have to ask questions about the tackler and their stature in the game. As Junior was a Neville no one and Thaiday is not.

It's Origin. It's set up specifically to let Qld win. Gomersal started the tradition and Greenberg is continuing it. I called it during the game based on Junior's 9 weeks Sam should have been marched for that. It's either dangerous play or it is not. Does anyone remember Alex McKinnon?
