NRL financial results

I read Roy Masters article in the SMH this morning outlining the NRL's $2.6M loss for 2016 despite a improved non-broadcast income of $144.2M. Our old mate Nick Tabakoff reports a "windfall" of $140M to the NRL due to non-broadcast revenue but no mention of the $2.6M loss.

Has the daily terror only reported part of the whole story to suit their agenda and master. Doesn't sound like them I must be reading too much into it....

  • yeah i few interesting things i took from the numbers

    1. we're not that far off from the afl...the gap is simply memberships and football revenue vs club money not on the books = pokies.

    2. the arlc expenses aren't as much as whinging phil gould makes it out to be. especially considering the new revenue generated they can justify spending it on.

  • Yes that's football club related revenue, pokies is not which afl clubs don't have, learn to read
