I have collated the data the NRL provides each week from the Telstra Tracker. I have no idea how accurate these data results are. Keep in mind these are only speeds recorded during games. So really fast players may not be on the list because they never managed to hit their top speed during a game.

Can you include a break down of the number of instances each player has cracked 35.5, this will give an idea of the number times they reached that speed or if it was a once off .
I'd really like to see Waqa on the Wing
stride out over 70m, he be a weapon
Nathan Brown at 17th fastest?? I know he hits the line pretty hard, but gee he must be quick off the mark to hit those sorts of speeds.
They measure top speed not acceleration.
So his top speed may be very quick but it may take him a while to wind up.
It must be another N Brown, I have never seen him run more than 20 metres. With and without the ball makes a difference.
I saw Mitch Moses run around AJ Brimston to score that try in the semi (I think it was the semi) how do you measure that when he is running a semi circle, it was pretty quick at the time. I don't think I have seen Waqar Blake score a long distance try since he has been with us. I think we pretty well know JAC, Saab, Coates and the fellow from Cowboys are quick and the times bear that out. The rest have speed, how its used and the opportunities on offer are all part of that need. If we had JAC we would win our games a lot more easily against the lessor sides. IMO
Sorry ME you must hate these speed blogs LOL (he thinks I'm obsessed with speed, he is write I am) especially the ones that have it between the ears.
Well we still have 4 players on there 5 if you believe the N Brown stat so like I've always maintained we compete even on a pure speed stat. Very good to have the halves so fast. Poppa I rate speed as well but its only one stat and the only real speed that usually matters in footy is over the first 5 metres.
I'd still take Sivo over most of those with the exception of Ado Carr who has it all - footy speed, genuine speed, speed between the ears - every speed you want to mention.
Surely Scott Sorensen's chase in the last few minutes of the preliminary final makes it there somehow. That was epic.
Malfunction with the chip in Nathan Brown's shirt ?
I think it's a typo and it must be D Brown because it's nearly the same speed.
I didn't make a typo for that. Unless NRL.com did.
