NRL Crystal Ball

Fox Sports who will be Premiers.

Benji Marshall: Parramatta. This is their year to break the premiership drought. Mitchell Moses and Dylan Brown look primed for a big season. Reed Mahoney is back and ‘King Gutho’ at the back makes up a very dangerous spine. Up there with the best in the competition. Plus their secret weapon — Michael Ennis!

Bryan FletcherMelbourne Storm. You need the best defence to win the comp and the Storm have been in the top two year on year. Have a look at their playmakers — Ryan Papenhuyzen, Cameron Munster, Jahrome Hughes & Harry Grant. The team is littered with some of the best players in the comp. They’ll be there on Grand Final day.

Steve Roach: Manly. I believe Tommy Turbo can replicate his form from last year. ‘DCE’ (Daly Cherry-Evans) and (Kieran) Foran have been there before and I reckon they’re ripe for another big season. The Sea Eagles score more long range tries than any other team in the comp. They turn chances points and have every right to believe they can lift the trophy this year.

Corey Parker: Parramatta. I think Parramatta have all the ingredients to win the competition. They’ve got one of the best forward packs, complemented by an aggressive, skilful, fast halves pairing that have certainly gelled together. There’s some exciting outside backs coming through, plus the they’ve the extra motivation of some key players moving on next year.

Paul Crawley: Roosters. Due for a change of luck after last year and get Luke Keary back. His premiership-winning combo with (James) Tedesco and (Victor) Radley will terrorise teams.

Ben Elias: Parramatta. It’s now or never. Same core squad for three or four years. They beat Melbourne twice last year and should have knocked out Penrith in the semi’s. They should be very hungry as this is the last year their squad will be together. I’m tipping Mitch Moses to have a massive year being more experienced and taking on a leadership role. Parra very strong in the one, six, seven and nine! That combo should get them a premiership in 2022.

James Graham: Penrith. Learned so much from the last two years. I think this experience will add to their approach to the whole season.

Andrew Voss: I have tipped the Storm. One last hurrah before some very big roster changes in 2023. Safe bet with (Craig) Bellamy at the helm that they will put themselves in contention again this year.

DALLY M

Marshall: Mitchell Moses. When Parramatta win, Mitch has his fingerprints all over the performance and seems to poll at least one if not three votes every time they win. It’s a big year for Mitch.

I Gotta say, I agree with 3 of them.
