  Brian Smith, today was so many memories mate. Your name sake BS was great for our club and maybe stayed little soo long but he did so much good for Parra. The Penrith game at Parra was amazing and brought back memories along with that Manly game in 97. Great day of viewing and wonderful memories. The 2009 final was superb as being there for the finals games was memorable except for the GF.

    All of those finals in 09 were something else. I am watchong this Penrith game now. Right now at 22 nil my mate said come on I'm going home. I stayed because so many of the tries were from kicks or luck. Here comes the comeback now

    That 05 team was special shame we forget to show up in the semi vs cowboy's we would of beat the tigers the next week. The game vs the dragons is one of my top 5 games I've been to. Dean widders ripping up the right edge.

  I was talking about 05 with Paul stringer a couple of years ago when our boys were playing footy together. He was saying how Brian smith took the team away for a week before the semi against the cowboys to keep them away fom all the build up. But the players were pumped and wanted to enjoy all the hype in parramatta & in there home towns. He reckons you end up eating more at all buffets where you stay u get a bit more lazy with out your normal routines at home of mowing lawns & time with kids etc. he reckons that's why they come out so flat against the cowboys, reckons it was a bad move by Brian smith. He said they had beat the tigers already twice that year & was super confident they would of beat them again. He said he already had a heap of grand final tickets for family & friends ended up selling them to benji marshal and the rest is history. Just another 1 that got away.

  Damn it. Only caught the last 20mins of that Tigers game.
  What a classic that was. One of the best team tries ever in that game and Hayne was just a freak as Johns put it.
