Talented former bad boy Kenny Edwards wants to rejoin the Eels in 2023 - but the potential move has split the club.
After losing the nucleus of their forward pack to rival clubs for next year, the coaching and playing group want the 32-year-old back-rower back on board.
But Eels management are baulking at the suggestion due to Edwards' long rap sheet in his six seasons at the club.
Edwards was in strife for off-field incidents more than once in his time at the Eels and eventually released from his contract in 2018.
But the ball-playing back-rower is now 32, and those close to him say he has changed his ways, and he is among the best forwards in the Super League.

Why has it split the club - the players or other staff?
Players and coaches want him, not so much the admin
Then I I agree with Fiddy
